Terms of Service

Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE] · Provider: [COMPANY NAME], [JURISDICTION] · Contact: [CONTACT EMAIL]

By creating an account or using MockMate (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least [16/18] and able to form a binding contract. You're responsible for your account, your credentials, and activity under your account, and for providing accurate information.

2. The Service

MockMate provides AI-conducted practice interviews, AI-generated reports, and an optional opt-in feature to make a vetted profile discoverable to recruiters. Features may change.

3. AI output — no guarantee; not professional advice

Interviews and reports are produced by automated AI and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or biased. They are for practice and self-improvement only, are not career, legal, hiring, or professional advice, and are not a guarantee of any job outcome. You are responsible for what you say during an interview; do not share others' personal data or unlawful content.

4. Recording consent

With your consent, MockMate records the audio of your interview to generate your transcript and report and, where you enable it, to support a verification badge. You confirm you are the person taking the interview and have the right to be recorded. You can withdraw consent and delete recordings as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not record other people without their consent.

5. Honest use

You agree to complete interviews yourself and not to misrepresent your identity, impersonate others, use another person or unauthorized assistance to take an interview on your behalf, or otherwise game the assessment. We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service and invalidate badges obtained dishonestly.

6. Recruiters

If you access the Service as a recruiter, you may only use candidate data made available to you for legitimate recruiting evaluation, in compliance with applicable employment, anti-discrimination, and data-protection laws (including any required bias audits or candidate notices). Keep candidate data confidential, do not re-share it, and do not make unlawful automated employment decisions. Access is logged.

7. Acceptable use

Don't break the law; infringe IP or privacy; access others' data; reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or disrupt the Service; upload malware; or use the Service to build a competing dataset. We may rate-limit or suspend abusive use.

8. Intellectual property

We and our licensors own the Service. The underlying Dograh platform is used under the BSD 2-Clause license. You retain rights to content you submit and grant us a license to process it to provide the Service as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Fees

[If/when paid: plans, billing, refunds. If free: "The Service is currently provided free of charge; we may introduce fees with notice."]

10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, [COMPANY NAME] is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any hiring or career outcome, and total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months or [USD 100].

11. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account anytime. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], excluding conflict-of-laws rules. [Dispute resolution / venue / arbitration — confirm with counsel.]

13. Changes
